God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
“When you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.”    -- Jesus's command in Matthew 6:3 before any mention of reward.
Full“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Luke 18: 21-23.  Verse 22:
So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

“For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward." - Jesus, Mark 9:41.

LYRICS Story:
Written from increasing sadness at how many church leaders give offering prayers asking God to bless US for the offerings, rather than us blessing Him with our love and  obedience to His command to tithe (Jesus in Matthew 23 -- “these you ought to have done without leaving the other undone)”;  God summarized His law in Malachi 3:8-10.Story.
